A decade ago, David Meredith and Calvin Yuen recognized a unique opportunity to introduce Hong Kong to Tasmania’s finest fresh produce. Beginning with small consignments of vegetables and then Tasmanian cherries, they quickly garnered a loyal following due to the exceptional quality, freshness, and dedication of the devoted Tasmanian farmers. This initial success paved the way for the expansion of their offerings into a wider range of fresh foods.
David, a native Tasmanian, has extensive experience in marketing and advertising across Asia and Europe. He leveraged his local insights and professional expertise to promote brands he knew would resonate globally.
Partnering with Calvin, who was born in Hong Kong and comes from a family business in freight and logistics, they created a synergistic business model that enabled them to access new products and deliver them to other Asian markets.
Over the past ten years, the business has thrived by focusing on its core values of freshness, taste, and quality. David and Calvin are supported by a dedicated team specializing in warehousing, accounting, and trade development. As of 2024, Tas’Mania offers products to retailers in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia.

Our Vision & Future
Established in 2011 and celebrating a decade of continuous growth, Tasmania Fresh our Australian based company, began by supplying premium Tasmanian fruits and vegetables to Hong Kong. . Tas’Mania Limited, its Hong Kong-based company. expanded the business to serve the retail sector. As demand increased, the sourcing expanded to source from Australia wide and Aus’Mania was founded to represent premium fresh foods from other specialist agricultural regions across Australia.
As the desire for food sourced from sustainable farmlands and waters continues to rise, so do concerns about individual health and well-being. Understanding the origins of products, as well as the philosophy and passion of the growers, is becoming increasingly important. Our commitment remains steadfast: to provide delicious, healthy, and sustainable fresh foods cultivated by reputable farmers who share a passion—what we call "mania"—for their produce.
